Although the pump is rechargeable and can inflate off its own internal battery you can use it as a conventional electric pump by simply plugging it into a 12v DC socket.
We’ve tested the Shark 3 extensively with our own boards (including the Jobe Duna Elite and other high-pressure SUPs), and it’s a total game-changer for solo and social paddling missions alike. In our tests the Shark 3 will fully inflate 3 standard paddle boards to 15 PSI on a single charge.
This is dependent on the size of the board and your final target pressures.
For higher pressure SUPs such as our 11’6” touring boards we can fully inflate 2 boards to 20 PSI on a single charge with enough battery left to inflate a thirds to 40%.
The shark 3 takes just over 2 hours to fully charge from a depleted battery using a 45W fast charger. Please note this is not included and needs to be sold separately.
Using a standard USB-C power source will take 5-8 hours and is totally dependant on the output power of your charge supply. Using a car auxiliary socked will take approximately the same 5-8 hours to fully charge.
In our tests we measure approximately 84dB at 1 meter. The Shark 3 is quieter than many other pumps on the market but they are still noisy and consideration is needed when using them especially on early morning paddles.

This pump is a beast! Blew my Quroc to 20PSI in minutes and deflates it with ease. Great range of adaptors just wish it came with a storage bag but it’s an amazing bit of kit that gets you setup and on the water without breaking a sweat!
