Why does that matter?

Because Bluetooth is fantastic until you don’t want your phone anywhere near the water.

Load your music onto the Vibe before heading out and you can leave your smartphone somewhere safe while the music comes with you.

For paddleboarding, kayaking and days around the water, we think that’s a brilliant idea.

There’s no need to maintain a Bluetooth connection between speaker and phone. No expensive smartphone sitting unnecessarily on the deck of your board. And no music suddenly disappearing because you’ve moved away from the connected device.

Speaqua Water Play Technology

Speaqua calls the combination of IP68 waterproofing and internal music storage Water Play Technology.

Traditional Bluetooth speakers rely on maintaining a wireless connection with another device. Once that connection is interrupted including when conditions interfere with Bluetooth your music stops.

With music stored directly on the Vibe 3.0, it doesn’t need that Bluetooth connection for locally stored playback.

That gives you the freedom to listen in or out of the water, with or without your phone.

It’s such a simple concept, but it’s one that makes far more sense when your adventures regularly involve water.

IP68 Waterproof. And Yes, It Floats.

The Speaqua Vibe 3.0 carries an IP68 waterproof rating and is also designed to be floatable.

That’s a combination we particularly like.

Waterproofing protects the speaker from water. Floating helps you get it back if it ends up somewhere it wasn’t supposed to.

For paddleboarders and kayakers, that’s not an insignificant difference.

The Vibe is also shockproof and dust/sand proof, so its adventure credentials extend well beyond watersports.

4-in-1 Mounting System

The industrial-strength removable suction cup is designed to attach to a smooth, clean surface.

1/4″ Universal Thread

A GoPro mount adapter is included, allowing the Vibe 3.0 to work with compatible existing GoPro mounting systems

That can be particularly useful for sports mounts, bike mounts and board setups.

Sometimes simple is best.

Made for Paddleboarding – But Definitely Not Just Paddleboarding

We obviously look at products through a paddleboarder’s eyes first.

And the Speaqua Vibe 3.0 ticks a lot of boxes.

Keep Your Ears Free

There’s another reason we’ve been looking for speakers like this.

We’ve used headphones and earbuds while paddling, but having something sitting in your ears for hours isn’t always particularly comfortable. More importantly, we prefer being able to hear what’s happening around us on the water.

Keep the volume appropriate for your surroundings, turn it down when you’re close to other people or wildlife, and remember that sound can travel surprisingly far across open water.

There are times when a great soundtrack makes an adventure even better. And there are times when the best soundtrack is simply the water, the wind and everything happening around you.

Enjoy the music. Respect the wild.

Take Calls Hands-Free

The Speaqua Vibe 3.0 also includes a built-in microphone and speakerphone.

When connected to a compatible smartphone via Bluetooth, you can take calls through the speaker without needing to hold your phone.

It’s another small feature that makes considerably more sense when you’re outdoors, your hands are wet or your phone is tucked safely away.
