Why We Choose the Brands We Stock

We don’t try to stock every paddleboarding or watersports brand we can find. SUP Funk is built around a much more selective approach choosing products we believe genuinely deserve a place in the range and that offer something worthwhile to people who spend time on the water.

That can mean a paddle board that performs noticeably better than the mass-market alternatives, technical clothing designed around the way paddlers actually move, or specialist safety and accessory brands that solve a particular problem really well. Quality matters, but so do practical details such as comfort, durability, design, after-sales support and whether the product makes sense for UK paddling conditions.

Whenever possible, we also want first-hand experience with the equipment we sell. We use and test many of the products ourselves, from paddle boards and electric pumps to paddles, fins, buoyancy aids and footwear. That experience helps us understand where products work well, who they are best suited to and, just as importantly, where their limitations are.

Our range includes established watersports names alongside smaller specialist manufacturers because we would rather offer a carefully chosen selection than fill the site with hundreds of near-identical products. Whether you are looking at Jobe, NRS, MOAI, Spinlock, Outdoor Master, Speaqua, Eisbach Riders or one of our own ranges, the aim is the same. Useful, well-designed equipment that we would be happy to take onto the water ourselves.
