Pocket-Sized Sound. Built for Adventure.
Small enough to slip into a pocket. Tough enough to come along for the adventure.
The Speaqua Cruiser H2.0 Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker is a seriously compact outdoor speaker designed for the places where an ordinary Bluetooth speaker probably shouldn’t go. With an IP68 waterproof rating, shockproof construction and protection against dust and sand, it’s made for paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking, camping, beach days, travelling and just about anywhere else you want to take your music.
And despite its pocket-sized dimensions, Speaqua has packed a surprising amount into it.
You get Bluetooth connectivity, up to 5 hours of battery life, a built-in microphone for speakerphone calls, dual-speaker pairing and an included leash for securing it to your wrist, backpack or kit.
Oh, and there’s a bottle opener built into it too.
Because apparently Speaqua decided a waterproof adventure speaker wasn’t quite enough.
At just 2.4 x 2.4 x 1.4 inches, the Cruiser H2.0 is genuinely tiny.
That’s one of the things we really like about it.
Outdoor kit soon adds up, particularly when you’re carrying a paddle, buoyancy aid, dry bag, pump and everything else that comes with a day on the water. The last thing we want is another bulky piece of equipment.
The Cruiser H2.0 is small enough to throw into your bag, attach to your kit using the included leash or simply keep close at hand.
Whether you’re heading out for a paddle, setting up camp or spending the afternoon at the beach, you’ve got music without carrying a conventional portable speaker around with you.
Water is exactly where the Cruiser H2.0 is meant to be.
Its IP68 waterproof construction is complemented by shock resistance and protection from dust and sand, making it far better suited to outdoor life than a speaker designed primarily for the home.
For us, that’s particularly important on a paddleboard.
Boards get wet. Hands get wet. Kit gets splashed. And occasionally things don’t quite go according to plan.
Having a speaker designed from the outset for adventures around water simply makes more sense.
This is one of the biggest reasons we’ve become fans of waterproof speakers for paddle boarding.
We’ve tried listening to music through headphones and earbuds on longer paddles, but we don’t always want something sitting in our ears for hours.
A speaker gives you another option.
You can enjoy some music while still chatting with the people you’re paddling with and maintaining better awareness of the environment around you.
The Cruiser’s compact size makes it particularly suited to this. It’s there when you want some music without dominating the paddle.
As always, we’d encourage keeping the volume sensible around other water users, wildlife and those who might prefer to enjoy the peace and quiet.
Want a little more sound?
The dual-speaker pairing feature allows two Cruiser H2.0 speakers to be synchronised together for a bigger listening experience.
That makes the Cruiser particularly interesting if you’re paddling or travelling with someone else. Start with one speaker and, if you decide you want more sound later, add a second compatible Cruiser H2.0.
Small speakers don’t necessarily have to mean small adventures.
There’s also a built-in microphone and speakerphone function.
Connect the Cruiser H2.0 to your phone via Bluetooth and you can take calls through the speaker without having to hold your phone in your hand.
That’s a seemingly small feature that makes a lot of sense outdoors, particularly when your hands are wet or your phone is somewhere safer than the deck of your paddleboard.
We couldn’t really write about the Cruiser without mentioning this.
Built into the speaker is a bottle opener.
Necessary?
Probably not.
Do we like it?
Absolutely.
It’s one of those slightly quirky details that tells you quite a lot about Speaqua. These aren’t speakers designed for sitting neatly on a bookshelf. They’re designed for beach days, campsites, weekends away and adventures with friends.
There are plenty of Bluetooth speakers in the world.
That’s precisely why we didn’t want to stock just another one.
What caught our attention with the Cruiser H2.0 was how much Speaqua managed to fit into such a tiny package. It’s waterproof, shockproof and dust/sand resistant, yet still small enough to disappear into your adventure kit.
Add the leash, speakerphone, dual-speaker pairing and wonderfully unnecessary bottle opener, and you’ve got a little speaker with a lot of personality.
