When you want more warmth without committing to a full wetsuit, the NRS Men’s HydroSkin 1.5mm Neoprene Jacket gives you a flexible layer built specifically for paddling. Its close fit, stretchy neoprene and full front zip make it a versatile choice for cooler paddleboarding, kayaking and canoeing sessions.

The jacket can be worn on its own or combined with separate lower-body protection to suit the conditions. This gives you more freedom to adapt your paddling kit as the weather and water temperature change.

Warmth that still lets you paddle comfortably

The jacket uses 1.5mm Terraprene™ neoprene to insulate your upper body without adding the bulk of thicker wetsuit material. Tiny titanium flakes within the laminate adhesive reflect some of your body heat back towards you, helping the neoprene retain warmth while remaining flexible.

Premium nylon and spandex on the outside stretch as you reach and rotate through your paddle stroke. The material is designed to retain less water, while the soft, smooth interior feels comfortable when worn directly against your skin.

Easy to put on and adjust

A durable full-length YKK® front zip makes the HydroSkin jacket easier to put on and remove than a pull-over neoprene top. You can also open the zip for extra ventilation when your effort level rises or the air temperature warms up.

This adaptability is useful on longer paddles and during the changeable conditions often found in spring and autumn. You can make a quick adjustment without having to stop and remove the entire jacket.

Cut for movement on the water

The paddler-specific cut is shaped to support movement through your shoulders, arms and upper body. Flat-lock stitching creates smoother seams that help reduce rubbing during repeated paddle strokes.

The jacket is designed to fit closely, which limits water moving through the neoprene and supports its insulating performance. It should feel snug without restricting your breathing, shoulder rotation or forward reach.

A practical alternative to a one-piece wetsuit

Separate neoprene layers give you more control over your paddling outfit than a one-piece wetsuit. You can wear the jacket with neoprene trousers when you need greater coverage or use it as an upper-body layer when conditions are milder.
